My first experience on a film set was in 1993 as an intern on a director's test for a Disney movie. My friend Birgitte was the Receptionist at the production company and I was curious about the business and how it all worked. She said they were working on this project and if I wanted to work for free, I was hired! I spent the afternoon helping out in the office and at the end of the day I went shopping for snack food with the Office Manager, a lovely woman named Kathy. As the shoot went on, I fell in love with the business and I kept going to the store to get more snacks and put them out for the crew . After the shoot I called Kathy and bugged her until she got a Production Manager to hire me to do Craft Services on a commercial, I barely understood what that was! My first paying job was an American Express commercial and the Production Manager that hired me loved what I did and so did the crew and she hired me again and recommended me and suddenly I had a budding business. People would stop at my table to get something to eat and would always say, "Wow, this is really GOOD FOOD!"

I grew my business to train other people to do what I do and sent them out with the equipment they needed to prepare and serve healthy and delicious food and called my company "Good Food". Over the past few years, I've had some incredible experiences with the people in this business who are what really makes this job worth it.

In 2000, I decided to study massage therapy so I could help people in another tangible, healthy way and went to the Swedish Insititute for Massage Therapy and graduated in 2001 with an Associates Degree in Occupational Studies. I learned various methods of massage, Swedish, Shaitsu, Sports with additional courses in reflexology, cranio-sacral therapy, lymph drainage massage, polarity and deep tissue massage. After graduating, I further complimented my education with a Reiki Level II training and am very grateful for the healing potential of this practice.

To further enhance my culinary experience, I enrolled in the Chef's Training Program at the Natural Gourmet School of Health and Culinary Arts.  The food  we eat has a direct corrolation to our physical and mental health and the school offers a program focused on using whole foods in their most natural form and eating to support our health,  and finished in September 2007.

Since then I have expanded my business to include hot breakfast (when possible) and catering small dinners and parties and strive to use ingredients that are healthy, fresh and delicious.

I will keep exploring ways to help people help themselves through their food, their mind, their bodies and their spirit and bring as much comfort and joy into people's lives as possible!
